The 2025 Chambliss Astronomical Writing Award is awarded to Physics Professor Dragan Huterer for the textbook A Course in Cosmology: From Theory to Practice (2023 Cambridge University Press). The textbook is an approachable overview of the fundamentals of cosmology and of how to connect observations to theory via data analysis.

The Chambliss Astronomical Writing Award is awarded by the American Astronomical Society to celebrate astronomy writing for an academic audience, specifically textbooks at either the upper-division undergraduate or graduate level. Texts are evaluated upon their depth and focus, organization, clarity, and study aids and exercises.
