Physics is an integral scientific component of the liberal arts environment and contributes to not only the scholarly activities of the College of Literature, Science and the Arts, but the fundamental atmosphere of the University of Michigan as a whole.

Our Facilities
Our Department consists of 2 main buildings: Homer A. Neal Lab and Randall Lab. In our many faculty labs, we have everything from non-linear optics to molecular Biophysics. We provide some of the best research facilities in the nation for furthering our understanding of the universe.
