As a vibrant research entity, the Department of Physics has many resources to devote to the creation of scientific experiments: from tiny nanotechnology to 30 foot D-zero detectors, we have the capacity to build it.
- Instrument/Machine Shop
This co-located facility within the Physics Department manufactures/modifies prototype and low-production runs of scientific measuring instruments from metal and plastic. The facility also houses the Student Shop where students learn to physically use machine tools to create their own experiments. - Electronics Shop
A facility engaged in the design and fabrication of instrumentation for the High Energy Physics research community.
