Lewis Post-doctoral Assistant Professor Elad Zelingher received an Empowering Research with AI Award from from the AI Institutes at Michigan (AIIM). The award was presented at the MIDAS AI in Research Symposium. At the symposium he presented the poster Explicit formulas for units of ideals in finite matrix monoid algebras, desribing his joint work (paper available on the arXiv) with former IBL post-doctoral Assistant Professor Nate Harmon, colleague Professor Andrew Snowden, and Anthropic's Claude. The work was cited for its innovative and rigorous use and assessment of artificial intelligence to advance knowledge or practice in the field.
