On Saturday, November 15, 40+ ELI Conversation Circles participants and their volunteer facilitators came together in Burns Park to celebrate “Fall in Michigan,” which meant apples, cider, and of course, donuts! Indoor games included Jenga and dominoes, while the mild weather kept two cornhole sets busy. The festivities concluded with a prize raffle, with lucky winners taking home Cherry Republic goodies and ELI T-shirts.
For over three decades, ELI’s Conversation Circles have connected international students and scholars with volunteer facilitators from across the U-M community to support informal English practice and meaningful cultural exchange.
