Final exam schedule
The final exam schedule is published by the Office of the Registrar each term.
Final exam rules
Instructors may not depart from the official schedule.
On this page, 'finals' refers to any final assessment, including final exams, papers, projects, presentations, or other graded work scheduled during the final exam period.
- Instructors may not schedule finals during regular instructional class time (including the last day of class).
- Instructors may not schedule finals during Study Days.
- Instructors may not reschedule finals within the final exam period without prior approval of the Office of the Registrar.
- If the instructor gets permission to change the time of the final, any student who wishes to take the exam at the originally assigned time must be allowed to do so.
- Students needing an alternative final time may be accommodated on an individual basis by the instructor.
- If a student enrolls in two courses that meet at the same time and it causes time conflicts between finals, the instructors do not need to offer alternative times.
- If a student is assigned four finals during the same day, the student may request to reschedule one exam from the Office of the Registrar.
