Scholastic innovation and excellence are pillars of the graduate programs in the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA). From its earliest days, LSA was the center of research and teaching, providing the building blocks of innovation that today inspire ideas and hands-on transformation.
The College of LSA comprises three academic divisions: the Humanities, the Natural Sciences, and the Social Sciences. Divisions are divided into separate departments who in total offer 40 programs of study. LSA has over 2,500 students enrolled in graduate degree programs across the college as part of our doctoral, master’s, dual degree, and certificate programs.
We provide our graduate students the opportunity to be a part of world-class research, working alongside our talented faculty. Students also have the opportunity to access and benefit from the multitude of research resources offered on our campus.
