The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures celebrates the dissertation defenses of 3 graduate students in 2013:

 

Aaron Boalick, Spanish, defended his dissertation Revitalizing Youth in the Body Politics of Contemporary Spanish Culture, chaired by Professor Cristina Moreiras-Menor. Aaron has accepted a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan.

 

Juliet Guzzetta, Italian, defended her dissertation Stages of History: Performing 1970s Italy with Narrative Theater, chaired by Professor Vincenzo Binetti. Juliet has accepted a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Michigan State University beginning Fall 2013.

 

Marie Stoll, French, defended her dissertation "Masculin, Féminin" et l’écriture littéraire et cinématographique burkinabè : Double émergence, double affirmation, chaired by Professor Jarrod Hayes. Marie has accepted a position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan.
