Language Learning Resources

The following is a list of resources to help students maintain their language skills during the summer or semesters when they cannot take a language course.

Language Learning Materials

Textbook Reserve

There are first and second year textbooks/workbooks/audio and video on reserve at the Language Resource Center (LRC) for use in the main center. Students can photocopy sections or exercises for their use.

Language Learning Programs

The LRC also subscribes to online language learning tools: from subtitled video shorts (Yabla), to Mango Languages (think Rosetta Stone or Duolingo), to international television with SCOLA.

Library Research Guides

The following links will take you to language-specific research guides, as well as resources, from the University of Michigan Library system. These materials are useful for both graduate and undergraduate level language research and are updated regularly.

For help with your research, feel free to contact Barbara Alvarez. RLL's Librarian.
