The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures offers study abroad scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000 based on strength of application and scholarship criteria.

- Students must be an active student at U of M Ann Arbor
- Most scholarships are limited to declared majors or minors in a Romance language with some exceptions. See the table below for a summary, or each individual description, for more information.
- Students must apply within the application periods noted below, students who are already abroad will not be eligible for consideration.
- Preference is given to students with financial need, however, all students should feel encouraged to apply.
Fall/Academic year programs: January 1 through the second Friday in March. Scholarship decisions will be sent out by mid-April.
Winter term programs: September 27 through mid October. Scholarship decisions will be sent out in November.
Spring/Summer term programs: January 1 through the second Friday in February. Scholarship decisions will be sent out by mid-March.
