Real Estate Investment, Finance, and Organizational Strategy
When I came to Michigan, I knew I wanted to pursue a path that combined analytical thinking, strategic decision-making, and leadership. Over time, my interest in commercial real estate has become increasingly focused on the investment side of the industry. My academic goal is to increase my understanding of how properties and markets are evaluated, how capital is allocated, and how investment decisions can create long-term value. I was drawn to Organizational Studies because it allows me to examine these questions not only through a financial lens, but also through the study of strategy, organizations, incentives, and decision-making.
My OS Pathway focuses on the intersection of real estate investment, finance, and organizational strategy. I am particularly interested in acquisitions and principal-side real estate investing, where financial analysis, market research, and strategic judgment come together to evaluate opportunities and make investment decisions. Through Organizational Studies, I am developing a stronger understanding of how organizations allocate resources, respond to changing markets, structure teams, and execute long-term strategies.
My goal is to begin my career in commercial real estate investing, gaining experience underwriting transactions, evaluating risk and return, and understanding capital structures and market cycles.
