Human-Centered Business Strategy for Equitable Impact
As a first-generation college student and Evans Scholarship recipient, I have experienced the transformative power of access and opportunity firsthand. These experiences have inspired me to pursue a dual degree in Organizational Studies and Latina/o Studies, alongside a Ross Certificate in Michigan Sales and Business Development—allowing me to merge my love for culture and language with organizational strategy and business acumen.
Driven by a passion for advocacy, equity, and community impact, I have immersed myself in Latino Studies courses, joined business-focused clubs, and led university-wide events that empower local businesses and uplift first-generation and underrepresented students. Through this work, I’ve developed a commitment to helping organizations sustain themselves by investing in human capital and aligning their practices with inclusive values.
As I transition into the Organizational Studies program, my curiosity about international business and cross-cultural collaboration continues to grow. I am particularly drawn to the Global Organizations pathway, where I hope to study issues that transcend borders and navigate cultural, political, and economic contexts to drive equitable outcomes. At the same time, my interest in Creative Strategy Development fuels my desire to explore innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to leadership and organizational change.
Ultimately, my pathway is a synthesis of my lived experiences, intellectual pursuits, and professional goals. By combining DEI frameworks, strategic thinking, and business development, I aim to pursue a career in sales or financial services, always centering equity, inclusion, and accessibility in everything I do!
