People at the Center: Connecting Consumer Behavior, Marketing, and Strategic Action
People are at the center of my academic and professional interests, particularly how they think, make decisions, connect, and engage with organizations. Drawing on psychology, business, and organizational studies, I am interested in consumer behavior and the deeper “why” behind people’s choices, not simply understanding what consumers want, but understanding the motivations, perceptions, and experiences that shape those decisions. I seek to bridge this understanding of people with the priorities of organizations, translating insights about consumers into strategic action and more effective, human-centered marketing and business decisions. Through this approach, I hope to emphasize the opportunities and responsibilities businesses have to create value beyond financial performance and make a meaningful impact on the people and communities around them. My coursework explores how organizations can put people at the center of their strategies, how consumers think and respond to marketing, and how these insights can inform decisions that balance business objectives with meaningful prosocial impact. Through this interdisciplinary pathway, I hope to develop the ability to understand people deeply, turn that understanding into actionable insight, and help organizations make decisions that are both effective and beneficial to the people and communities they serve.
