Leadership Opportunities

Organizational Studies prides itself on its community atmosphere and firmly believes in the role of our students as citizens of the program. As part of our commitment to our community and citizenship, we create opportunities for our students to advance their knowledge, apply their learning, and give back to the program. Below you will find a list of ways that you can become involved in the OS community:

OS Student Leadership Team: Student leads meet weekly with each other and assigned OS staff to plan/carry out their respective duties listed below. They coordinate other OS volunteer engagement in their work, take part in OS Student Leadership Team meetings monthly, and also report activities by attending the OS Student Advisory Board meetings (twice per term). These positions include peer mentorship, event planning, social media, recruitment, and DEI coordination.

OS Student Advisory Board: The OS Student Advisory Board is designed to be a forum for communication about the various activities in OS between our students. In addition, the Board provides a sounding board for OS faculty, staff, and students who would like feedback on their ideas.

OS Graduation Committee: The OS Graduation Committee consists of a group of seniors and staff working together to plan program-specific graduation events. Students will help plan essential ceremony details such as the Keynote Speaker and Student Speakers, along with social and cohort bonding, end-of-term events.

Women in Leadership (WiL): Women in Leadership (WiL) is a club dedicated to the personal, professional, and holistic development of Organizational Studies students during their time in the OS major. WiL focuses on creating events for the OS cohorts and prospective students that will benefit them both in their college careers and their personal lives. Through these events, WiL seeks to create a tight-knit community and empower it to recognize its individual and group strengths.
