Student Organizations

Women in Leadership (WiL)

Women in Leadership (WiL) is a club dedicated to the personal, professional, and holistic development of Organizational Studies students during their time in the OS major. WiL is a resource for people of all genders and focuses on creating events for the OS cohorts and prospective students that will benefit them both in their college careers and their personal lives. Through these events, WiL seeks to create a tight-knit community and empower it to recognize their individual and group strengths. While WiL is a club for people of all genders, the club seeks to use its platform to highlight women’s experiences and the challenges they, and other marginalized communities, face. By shedding light on these experiences, it is WiL’s hope that all members will feel empowered to discuss and take action to improve their communities and organizations.

WiL has no official membership process, rather, OS students can become a part of WiL by attending the events the organization hosts each month. These events consist of guest speakers and luncheons, leadership skill workshops, and community events to provide a social and academic setting for OS students to connect with one another and other female professionals, learn from others’ experiences, network, and discuss important issues surrounding women, the workforce, and leadership. Attendees of WiL's event will find the organization to be an educational and professional resource, facilitate meaningful discussions about women, the workforce, and leadership, and create a supportive community.
