About
Beth Ann is a Sociologist whose work focuses on the intersection of work and family. Her research looked at the effect employee corporate relocation had on trailing spouses and the ways that families and organizations negotiate that impact.
Additionally, Beth Ann specializes in applied research, both quantitative and qualitative. She has worked as a Market Research Manager in the business sector and a Research Scientist in Public Health. She taught sociology at Central Michigan University and then was a founding faculty member in the University of Michigan Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences Program.
Beth Ann received her B.A. in Economics from James Madison University, her M.B.A. from Villanova University, and her Ph.D. in Sociology from Michigan State University. She is currently into mahjong, hiking, and embroidery, and traveling to see her kids whenever she can.
