The OS DEI Committe ensures that OS is proactively working to improve diversity, equity and inclusion in the program. They are committed to communication between faculty, staff and students around DEI concerns, responding to new DEI issues as they arise. The committee focuses on the following areas:
- Student recruitment and admission, and faculty/staff recruitment and hiring
- OS curriculum and classroom inclusion
- OS programming and broader climate
The committee is comprised of faculty, staff, and students who are devoted to the betterment of the department.
