DEI Committee

The Organizational Studies Program embraces the University of Michigan’s commitment to an environment that values and respects people of all races, colors, national origins, ages, sexes, sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, abilities, religions, heights, weights, and veteran or marital statuses. We value diversity as it makes our unit stronger in its scholarship, teaching, and service to the campus and communities beyond.

The OS DEI Committe ensures that OS is proactively working to improve diversity, equity and inclusion in the program. They are committed to communication between faculty, staff and students around DEI concerns, responding to new DEI issues as they arise. The committee focuses on the following areas:

  • Student recruitment and admission, and faculty/staff recruitment and hiring
  • OS curriculum and classroom inclusion
  • OS programming and broader climate

The committee is comprised of faculty, staff, and students who are devoted to the betterment of the department.
