Leveraging Law to Protect Innovation and Creativity
I have always been a people-oriented person who values creativity as a powerful form of expression and identity. My interest in fashion, media, and the arts is rooted not only in their aesthetic impact, but also in the ways they shape culture and influence how individuals understand themselves and others. I am also deeply interested in how law and policy structure these industries and determine whose ideas are protected, whose voices are amplified, and how organizations operate. Through Organizational Studies, I aim to explore how society shapes behavior while developing the tools to think critically about systems of power, decision-making, and organizational culture.
Ultimately, I hope to leverage this interdisciplinary pathway to pursue a career in law where I can serve as a strategic partner within fashion or entertainment organizations. My goal is to work as in-house counsel, bridging the gap between creative and corporate teams while using legal tools to protect intellectual property and support long-term, sustainable growth. I am particularly interested in how law can be used not just as a protective mechanism, but as a proactive force to preserve creativity, promote equity, and shape organizational culture. By combining creativity, law, and strategy, I aim to contribute to organizations by ensuring that the individuals behind creative work are both protected and empowered.
