While the final opinions and decisions are usually made by CEOs and managers, the employees who did the actual research hardly get a say. Giving these hard-working employees a stronger voice would be crucial in providing more detailed insights that help consultants and strategists make informed recommendations. As someone aiming to go into strategy consulting and then internal strategy in CPG or retail, I want to understand the perspectives of both the external consultant and internal researcher to help companies thrive. This can be achieved in OS through classes revolving around strategy, management, and top-down as well as bottom-up structural impacts in organizations.
