PATHWAY
Public Affairs, Reputation Management, and Strategic Decision-Making
My pathway explores how organizations navigate complex political and public environments through strategic communication, with a focus on reputation management and the decision-making processes that happen behind the scenes. I am particularly interested in how organizations engage with stakeholders and the public to influence policy, manage risk, and maintain credibility- especially during crises, when the stakes are highest.
In public affairs, the ability to shape narratives is critical. I want to understand how organizations frame issues, deliver targeted messages, and respond to evolving regulatory pressures. These strategies are deeply informed by social psychology: how people interpret information, how group dynamics shape decisions, and how trust is built or broken through communication.
This pathway will prepare me to join a global public affairs firm, where I can work behind the scenes to help organizations navigate complexity, manage reputational risk, and communicate with strategic intent in moments that matter most.
