About
I am a PhD candidate of political science and scientific computing also doing a dual master’s degree in statistics at the University of Michigan. I also collaborate with the VINO project about police oversight. My research agenda focuses on understanding political violence and state-building processes. My main research project investigates the creation, effects and destruction of the urban built environment. In my Job Market Paper, I study the relationship between armed conflict and the urban built environment. In other projects, I study the dynamics of mass political dissent, the foundations of security agencies, and political and criminal violence.
