About
Joan Martinez is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley and WAPPP Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. She received a PhD in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2023. She works on topics in labor, education, inequality, and applied econometrics. Her research studies the causes of inequality in education settings, human capital development, and labor markets. A second research agenda focuses on developing and testing large-scale policies to alleviate disparities in America and developing countries.
