Wang was chosen not only for his high level of academic achievement, but also for his accomplishments outside the classroom.

Wang, who will graduate in 2016 , participated in the MITRE Undergraduate Research Symposium, where he won an award for Best Research Poster for his work with Jim Adams and Steve Salant. Wang was also the inaugural recipient of the Gary Dorman Memorial Scholarship in Economics in 2013-2014, which was established in honor of Dr. Dorman (Econ '72), a former Economics Leadership Council member.
