Junior Lorna Brown and Senior Ashley Soto

The Central Campus Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Spirit Awards honor undergraduate students on Central Campus who best exemplify the leadership and extraordinary vision of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Nominees and awardees are recognized in the Award Ceremony, which highlights the various ways in which our students have worked to carry on the spirit of Dr. King.

Among this year's group of students were two Organizational Studies majors! Our students were nominated because of their distinguished acts of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The nominees are considered based on the following criteria: building inclusive communities and equitable spaces,   pursuing social justice by challenging oppressive norms, engaging with diverse communities to promote cross-cultural collaboration, confronting systemic injustice(s), and/or a commitment to racial justice.

This year's winner was our very own Ashley Soto! Please help us congratulate Ashley and Lorna on this incredible honor!
