Majdy Barakat is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Before his studies at Michigan, he earned a BS in Pure Mathematics and an MA in Economics (with a concentration in Financial Economics) from the American University of Beirut (AUB). His research focuses on Macroeconomics, Financial Economics, and International Economics.
