Professor of Mathematics Trachette Jackson, University Diversity and Social Transformation Professor and Associate Vice President for Research-Strategic Partnerships and Inclusive Excellence, along with her team of researchers, have developed a method that greatly reduces the time required for stress-testing virtual tumors via computer modeling. Members of her team who were instrumental in this breakthrough include former UM Mathematics Postdoc Daniel Bergman, and 2008 UM Mathematics PhD recipient Harsh Jain.
