The Science Learning Center (SLC) is happy to introduce you to the newest member of the SLC professional staff team: Associate Director, Caitlin Posillico!
Caitlin is joining the SLC with nearly 10 years of combined experience in student services, support, and program management here in LSA at the University of Michigan. Most recently, she served as the Program Manager for the Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences minor program in LSA, where she was heavily involved in strategic planning and program and curricular development, including creation of a professional development workshop series, seminar series, and skill-building workshops open to all students. She has also served as an academic advisor, and she helped develop, launch, and facilitate the Psychology Department’s STAR Scholars Program – an educational outreach initiative designed to increase underrepresented students’ engagement with undergraduate research by teaching the “hidden curriculum” of research in academia through seminars, workshops, and mentorship.
Caitlin has always been a fierce advocate for students, and she is passionate about developing and applying effective strategies to better support them in finding continued success for their University of Michigan careers and beyond. She is extremely excited to be joining the SLC in her new role to help contribute to student success and support at such a large scale.
