Lauren supervises the student services staff (Julie, Olga, Hiba and Chris). She is responsible for the oversight of the administration (setting and managing budgets, documenting and communicating policy issues, developing and communicating strategic initiatives, acting as a liaison to the College and other University units), and implementation (assigning staff support, approving expenditures, overseeing publicity) of activities for the Department’s undergraduate and graduate degrees programs. She also manages the GSI allocations and assignments and Departmental fellowship awards in conjunction with the Director of Graduate Studies. Lauren completes the GEO contracts, fraction calculation forms and appointment details for all GSI positions. She ensures the effective administration of all departmental supported research student programs, including the graduate research and travel awards. Lauren is an individual with a reporting obligation.
