Bob Coven leads Raymond James’ investment banking coverage of states, state agencies and local municipalities throughout New England.

Bob joined Raymond James in August 2008, after spending almost 20 years in municipal investment banking at UBS. His experience includes serving as senior banker for state and state agencies in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire, as well as
local municipalities.

Bob received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1978 from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and MBA in Finance from Syracuse University in 1981.

Although Bob is a native New Englander, he has lived in New York City for over 30 years. He is married to Joanne Zaiac and has three children: Samantha (27-LS&A 2015), Joshua (24) and Erica (19) as well as a dog named Lola (6).

In addition to his day job at Raymond James, Bob has been committed to philanthropic activities for the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA), the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as well as the University of Michigan.

Bob enjoys ping pong, biking, running, skiing and is a big sports fan (Michigan and New England teams). He served as a Division Manager for Safe Haven West Side Basketball League for 11 years and coached soccer for the West Side Soccer League Boys and Girls Divisions.
