Donald Sweeney has spent his career working in process improvement and automation. Upon graduation, Sweeney joined Andersen Consulting (Accenture). In 1996 he joined the professional services group of the software company PeopleSoft, focusing on process automation and ERP projects. In 1998, at the age of 25, he started his own firm, Emerging Solutions, focusing on enterprise applications and process improvement. He sold that company in 2011 to Emtec and ran that group until his departure in 2017. He is now the co-leader of a company that focuses on process automation and artificial intelligence to improve internal processes in organizations and impact the future of work.
Sweeney sits on the board for his son's school and on the Board for Positive Coaching Alliance. He is an advisor to a handful of boutique IT and consulting companies and he has spoken at the University of Michigan Venture Capital Symposium, Temple University's symposium on Artificial Intelligence and at Regional and National technology conferences.
