Below is information for LSA students receiving college credit for Advanced Placement test performance or International Baccalaureate (IB) credit. If you are not an LSA student, please contact your academic advisor.
AP/IB credits are out-of-residence. Please review major/minor requirements for limits on out-of-residence credits.
Students who have not yet received their AP or IB scores by the time they arrive for U-M orientation are encouraged to take the placement test. Students who have received AP or IB credit (with a score of 4 or 5) for French, Italian, Portuguese, or Spanish, do not need to take the placement test. Please review the AP/IB credit and placement information by language below.
