About
I am an Ecuadorian writer and architect from Quito. I hold a Master’s in Literature from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Iowa. I am the author of the novel Anatomía transparente (Seix Barral, 2022) and the short-story collection Los trabajos del agua (Severo Editorial, 2023), which won the Joaquín Gallegos Lara National Prize. My short story “Abuelita,” translated by Jennifer Croft, won the 2020 Mundial de Escritura and was published in The Yale Review. I currently live in the United States, where I am pursuing a PhD at the University of Michigan.
