The Center for Global and Intercultural Study, known around campus simply as “CGIS,” provides undergraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds a wide variety of global engagement and learning opportunities around the world. CGIS programming features semester-long study abroad options, 6–10 week programs during spring and summer, and academic- and calendar-year programs.
To learn more about studying abroad with CGIS at U-M, watch our First Step video or schedule a First Step session by emailing cgis@umich.edu. Significant scholarships are available for students participating in CGIS programs, so do not let financial concerns keep you from pursuing an amazing global experience.
