CGIS Ambassador Program

Welcome to the CGIS Ambassador Program!

This program is dedicated to helping CGIS alum stay engaged with international education, share your experiences with new and prospective CGIS students, and connect with your fellow alum about your time abroad. There are a variety of ways to engage with CGIS!

Students have the opportunity to earn:

    - a CGIS ambassador sticker (for completing 30 points)

    - a CGIS drawstring bag (for completing 130 points)

    - CGIS graduation cords (for completing 200 points), having demonstrated great commitment to CGIS's goal of getting more students abroad!

20-point Activities:

  • Attend CGIS alumni events
  • Attend social events with CGIS exchange students
  • Serve as an e-advisor for your program
  • Submit 5 photos*
  • Write a 3-Minute Travel Guide
  • Contribute to our I Am Study Abroad Gallery

30-point Activities:

  • Write a CGIS blog post
  • Interview with CGIS about your experience
  • Complete the CGIS Post-Program Evaluation
  • Submit 10 photos*
  • Add CGIS as collaborator on 2 Tiktok videos or Instagram reels/posts  

50-point Activities:

  • Volunteer at the CGIS Study Abroad Fair in October
  • Share your experience at the Pre-Departure Orientation for your program or a breakout session
  • Submit 20 photos*
  • Create a video with CGIS

Students currently abroad on a CGIS program can earn 1.5x points for Photo submissions, Travel Guides, Gallery contributions, or adding us as a collaborator on social media content!

CGIS Peer Advisors are automatically eligible for stickers and cords due to their work with us through the academic year. For details on many of these activities, explore our Sharing Your Experience page for alumni.

*Students can only receive a maximum of 50 points for photo submissions per CGIS program they participate in.
