Assistant Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Biophysics
About
The Sztain research group combines chemistry, biophysics, mathematics, and computer science to understand dynamic biochemical systems. Our goal is to design novel molecules that address pressing environmental and medical challenges. To achieve maximum efficiency, we bridge computational and experimental techniques with artificial intelligence.
Recent projects include predicting evolution to design resistance-resilient antivirals, integrating machine learning with physics-based structural modeling for drug design, and engineering nylon-degrading enzymes.
