Biophysics Undergraduate Travel Grants are intended to assist in providing opportunities for our undergraduate majors to engage professionally with others in their academic field.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this grant, the student must be:
- A Biophysics major at the University of Michigan.
- Actively involved in a Biophysics-related research group through enrollment in BIOPHYS 399/499, lab employment (temporary or work-study), or working in a lab without credit or pay.
- Presenting a talk, paper, or poster at a Biophysics-related conference (such as the Biophysical Society Annual Meeting).
Note: Preference is given to students employed or enrolled in BIOPHYS 399/499.
Grant Details
These grants are $300 each and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. A student can only apply for one travel grant per fiscal year (July 1-June 30). Each student's research group is expected to cover the remainder of the costs.

Applications must be submitted at least two months before the planned travel. The number of awards may be limited by the availability of funds, although we will make every effort to fund as many requests as possible each year.
