The Biophysics Graduate Student Council (GSC) is dedicated to building a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming community for graduate students in the Biophysics program at the University of Michigan. To strengthen connection and well-being, we host various social events throughout the year, including bowling nights, apple picking, ice skating, and our popular "Tea Time" gatherings. We have also organized happy hours after seminars, providing a relaxed space to unwind and connect with peers.
Beyond campus, we engage with the broader community through outreach initiatives. For instance, we proudly partnered with FEMMES (Women+ Excelling More in Math, Engineering and the Sciences) to inspire interest in STEM among elementary-aged girls in Washtenaw County. If you're a Biophysics graduate student and have ideas for events, resources, or initiatives that could make your experience at Michigan more enjoyable and productive, we’d love to hear from you!
