The University of Michigan Biophysics Department is pleased to welcome our 2026 cohort of REU students to Ann Arbor for the summer.

About the Biophysics REU Program 

The Summer REU Program in Biophysics, supported by funds from the National Science Foundation, provides selected non-University of Michigan undergraduate students from across the United States will spend 10 weeks working alongside U-M faculty and mentors on research projects in a wide range of biophysical fields. From June 7 through August 16, 2026, students will take part in laboratory and computational research through weekly seminars, workshops, and community-building activities designed to support their development as emerging scientists.
