Our Community

The Biophysics community at the University of Michigan is built on curiosity, collaboration, and shared discovery.

Our faculty work closely with students and researchers across many departments. This gives students opportunities to explore different scientific questions, methods, and approaches.

Because U-M is a large research university, students have access to many resources that can help them pursue the research topics that interest them most.

At U-M, biophysics is an important field that helps answer complex questions about how biological systems work. It also helps solve problems across biology, physics, and chemistry.
