About
Sarah comes from a non-profit background, having managed the communications for several organizations across a wide array of fields, from an art musueum to a botanic garden to a permanent supportive housing provider in San Francisco. She is excited to bring her talents to the world of academia and help share the vital work being done in the EARTH department with the broader university, the community, and the world.
Sarah is in charge of all internal and external communications for the department, including:
- printed and e-newsletters
- website
- singnage
- flyers and other printed collateral
- social media
- event promotions and collateral
- alumni communications and events
Originally from Charlevoix, Sarah is a great lover of rocks (how lucky she is to have landed in the EARTH department!), words, gardening, her dog, reading, cutting a rug, and her wild, precious daughter. She and her husband spent 12 years in California before returning to their home state of Michigan in 2024, and she's thrilled to be back!
