Earth and Environmental Sciences
We're hiring! The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences will begin searches for two faculty positions this summer.
Understanding climate change and its societal impacts is core to the UM mission, including as part of the Look to Michigan Campaign and our Campus 2050 plan. Both positions will be poised to help move these initiatives forward with their research and teaching. We're looking for experts in Earth System Modeling (Assistant Professor) and Climate-Driven Hazards and Earth Surface Dynamics (Associate or Full Professor). Earth Camp aims to engage a wide range of students in environmental sciences
Every summer for three years in a row, a varied group of Michigan high school students spends a week exploring nature and learning about the environment through the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences’ Earth Camp. The camp hopes to spark interest among a new generation to enter the field.
