Welcome to the Communication and Media Major!
Communication and Media majors are students who have declared a major in the Department of Communication and Media. They are encouraged to schedule in-person, virtual, and phone appointments with our faculty and professional advisors. Departmental advisors can assist with:
- An overview of the major and its requirements
- Tracking academic progress in the major
- Submitting electronic major release forms for graduation
- Providing referrals for concerns beyond the scope of the department
Students are also welcome to email commadvisor@umich.edu with any simple questions or in the event that an appointment time is not accessible for them. Students can typically expect to receive a response in 24-48 hours.
