- Complete the prerequisites courses (COMM 101 + COMM 102)
- Submit the Declaration Form for Communication and Media Major
- Attend the Declaration Celebration

What is the Communication and Media major Declaration Celebration?
The Declaration Celebration is open to all newly declared Communication and Media majors. It is held in the fall of each academic year. Students are provided with important department information, an opportunity to meet and greet with faculty, and hear more about the different programs and resources available to them as a Communication and Media major!
This year's celebration is scheduled for: Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 11:00a-1:00p at North Quad
