Welcome to the Residential College, a living and learning community in East Quad. We are a close-knit college inside U-M's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, which means you get the warmth of a small school and the full reach of a top research university at once. Every LSA student is welcome to join the RC, take RC classes, or declare an RC major.

The RC brings the liberal arts to life. With 4 majors, 4 minors, 5+1 immersion languages, 4 visual arts studios, the Keene Theater, and 8 community-engagement programs, there is nothing else like it on campus. Here, ideas are meant to be tried, performed, and lived, not just studied.

And there is no typical RC student. Our students, faculty, and alumni are among the most enthusiastic people at Michigan, and they come from every background and pursue every kind of major, minor, and path. Come see what you could build here.

Why Students Choose the RC

• Best of both worlds: Every RC student is an LSA student, but NOT every LSA student is an RC student. You get insider access to the RC plus everything LSA and U-M offer.
