Student Academic Services Assistants

As Student Academic Services Assistants (SASAs), we all help out Briana, Charlie, and Taranbir in the RC Academic Services office! We’re responsible for setting up/taking down coffee hours, maintaining billboards around East Quad, and a bunch of the other small day-to-day tasks that help keep the RC running smoothly. If you ever see any of us in the office, please feel free to drop in and say hi — we’d love to see you!

Hey there! I’m Sally Mo, a second-year student studying Cognitive Science and Data Science. Feel free to ask me about resources or opportunities on campus, I love sharing them with people (that's actually how I got this job as a freshman last year). In my free time, I dance to GolfyDance videos or with Zumba instructors at IMSB. You might also catch me lifting weights with my barely visible muscles (they’re there, trust me!). I love reading, and my current favorites are still Flowers for Algernon and The Little Prince. I’m also very interested in Personality Statistics—MBTI? Just statistics. Ask me about personality analysis. Oh, and I almost forgot—I went skygliding once and nearly threw up in the sky! I can’t wait to try skydiving next.

Hey all, my name is Sam Dykhouse (he/him)! I am a junior from Holland, MI studying Sociology in LSA and STP in the RC, with an interest in Just Transition and global supply chains. Outside of class, I’m very involved with different music groups on campus including the Michigan Pops Orchestra and the Campus Symphony Orchestra, where I play double bass. Music has always been something super important to me, and I’m always seeking out new opportunities to play music of different genres and styles. I’m also super into traveling, and enjoy finding weird and under-the-radar trip destinations. I’m super excited to continue working as a SASA with the fantastic RC Academic Services team this semester and can’t wait to meet all of you!

Hi! My name is Naomi Moran Guzman, and I am a junior from San Francisco, California majoring in Community and Global Public Health on a pre-med track. In my free time, I love doing arts and crafts like crocheting, sewing, drawing (which I'm not very good at), and many other things. I also really love reptiles! I find them super interesting and I love learning about the different species, morphs, and environments snakes live in. I’m so excited to be back as a SASA this year and I look forward to meeting anyone who comes into the office!

Hi there! My name is Beatrice Fleischmann (she/her) and I am a junior on the pre-med track studying Biology, Health, and Society (BHS) with a minor in Spanish; I hope to go into women’s health. In my free time, I really enjoy reading, watching shows like the Office, Modern Family, or Parks and Rec (etc.), and I also love all sorts of crafts, like crochet, making jewelry, or coloring. One of my long-time goals has been to become fluent in Spanish, and the RC Spanish program has really pushed me along that path! As a third-year SASA, I am really looking forward to getting to know the new members of the RC, leaning more into my role as a student advisor, and overall enjoying my time in this welcoming space. Please don’t hesitate to come say hi if you have any questions about the RC Spanish program, doing STEM in the RC, or even just want to chat!

Hey y’all! My name is Yeslin Amarante, and I am a third year student majoring in International Studies and Sociology.  I am the BIGGEST Twilight fan ever! I rewatch the entire series every Thanksgiving with my sister. Apart from being a Twilight fan, I really enjoy listening to Dominican music like Bachata, Merengue, or Dembow. This is my second year working as an RC SASA but I was involved with the RC Academic Services office as the Community Promotions (CP) Intern during my first year.

Hello!! My name’s Camille Nagy, and I’m a junior studying English and creative writing with the hopes of someday being an editor! I’m very involved in the writing community on campus and can commonly be found watching Monterey Aquarium livestreams with the RC Review, hosting Creative Writing Forum meetings, and frantically trying to meet my deadlines for the Michigan Daily Arts’ books beat. I also love listening to music, traveling, and spending time in nature whenever I can!I’m super excited to be working with the RC Academic Services team and all the other SASA members again this year; if you ever see me working, please don’t hesitate to come say hello!
