Giving Blueday is the University of Michigan’s annual day of giving, bringing together alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends to support the people and programs they care about most.
Since its launch, Giving Blueday has become one of the university’s most impactful moments of collective generosity. Each year, thousands of donors come together over 24 hours to strengthen student access, academic excellence, and community across U-M.
For the Residential College, Giving Blueday plays a meaningful role in sustaining the programs and relationships that define the RC experience. Gifts made on Giving Blueday have helped support academic advising, language and arts programming, student professional development, and community-building initiatives that reach RC students from orientation through graduation.
Giving Blueday 2026 takes place on March 18.
On the day of the event, all RC Giving Blueday gifts will be collected through the university’s official campaign platform.
Why Giving Blueday matters to the RC
The Residential College is built on connection - small classes, close faculty mentorship, and a shared commitment to engaged liberal arts education. Giving Blueday allows the RC community to come together in support of these values, ensuring that essential RC experiences remain accessible to all students.
Every gift, at any level, contributes to the strength and continuity of the RC community.
