About
My research interests comprise comparative literatures of Italian and Puerto Rican contemporary poetry, particularly the works of female poets from these countries and psychoanalytic theory, gender representation and religious influences that coalesce between both nation’s poetic works. In addition, I am interested in prose written during the Italian and the Puerto Rican diaspora to America, that depicts the exploitation, prejudice, life conditions, and mutation of the original culture of the immigrants. Furthermore, I am also enthusiastic about the film aesthetics of postwar Italian cinema and its transition from neorealism to pink neorealism and its neorealist satiric comedy.
