About
My main area of research is the study of post-conflict periods and political violence in the Southern Cone - with emphasis on the Peruvian context - from the visual arts and Literature. I am interested in analyzing the contrasts between institutional memory, promoted by government entities, and "underground" memory, constituted by the most precarious and affected sectors of society. Through the testimony of the latter, I reflect on concepts such as nation, justice and human rights to outline new projects for society. I also research the growing militarization of Latin American countries, the guerrilla movements of the 20th century, political discourses in the contemporary period, Marxism and psychoanalysis.
