LSA HR Labor Relations partners with leaders, managers, and staff to support the effective administration of U-M collective bargaining agreements within LSA. We aim to foster positive and productive working relationships by ensuring fair application of contract terms and compliance with labor laws. The following unions represent affiliated LSA personnel:

Kamil oversees LSA's labor relations strategy, manages complex contract interpretation and application issues, manages LSA-specific LR programs, and participates in collective bargaining. He assists LSA leaders and staff by:
Providing expert guidance on compliance with labor laws and contract requirements.
Advising managers on performance management practices under collective bargaining agreements, ensuring fairness and consistency.
Managing and guiding the grievance process outlined in labor contracts.
Investigating and facilitating the resolution of workplace complaints related to employment practices or potential contract violations.
Developing and managing LSA-specific programs for represented employees (e.g., LSA Teach Professor Guidelines, LEO professional development opportunities).
Representing LSA's interests in collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, and related meetings.
