About
Grey Mangan recently completed his MA where he focused on the ephemeral nature of digital fan archives, the degradation of the Web 1.0 Internet, and how to preserve said archives in the face of overwhelming odds. His research, like the vast Internet that he studies, is ever shifting and changing- but generally revolves around pulling common threads surrounding community, affect theory, authorship, and queer identity surrounding various media and their subsequent digital fan spaces. His current research revolves around Actual Play and TTRPG fan cultures, as well as documenting their exponentially growing fandoms across this unique new digital medium. In his free time, Grey enjoys spending time with his partners and watching 3+ hour video essays.
